I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr Munita in helping me deal with the most traumatic personal experience I have ever encountered. I am a male aged 70 years.

While I thought I had taken the medical diagnosis I was given a few months ago in my stride, my mind and body clearly told me otherwise, as medics found me collapsed in the corridor outside the doctor's office.  I had fainted within minutes of being told of my diagnosis of cancer and there I was on the floor at start of a new and unexpected chapter with which you have helped me cope.  

While my illness is not your medical field of expertise and as such I did not consult you in a medical capacity, your medical and other training has clearly given you the ability to provide the empathetic support and understanding that I have needed in my situation. 

Trauma presents in various forms and for me, my diagnosis and what that has led to, has certainly been traumatic.  You have and continue to be there for me every step of the way both before and after my operation and it is hard to express what that means to me.  Without your help, the ability to cope, think clearly and maintain perspective at this critical time would likely have eluded me.

As you know, my journey is difficult and challenging so I wanted to let you know how important your support is and what my engagement with you means to me.
